Givenchy Pre-Fall 2024 collection by Matthew Williams. This will be his last collection for the house. Givenchy's parent compnay LVMH announced only days ago that Williams will be stepping down from the role of creative director at the masion officially on January 1.
His abrupt departure and lack of fanfare has raised some eyebrows in the #fashion industry about possible bad blood between the artist and the fashion conglomerate. Williams is thought to focus on his own label 1017 ALYX 9SM and has released a statement thanking CEO of Givenchy Renaud de Lesquen and LVMH.
Leading the creative direction of Givenchy was, as I said upon my arrival in 2020, the dream of a lifetime,” Williams said in a statement. “Over these three years, I have strived to perpetuate Mr. Hubert de Givenchy's legacy while bringing my own creative vision and I would like to sincerely thank the studio, Renaud de Lesquen, and LVMH for this incredible opportunity.
