George Clooney and Matthew Perry were friends for decades, first meeting when Perry was 16 and Clooney was 24. After Perry passed away in October, his friends have been sharing stories and thoughts on the actor, and now Clooney has spoken out, too. According to Clooney, even though Perry claimed that getting on a regular sitcom would make him “the happiest man on earth,” that proved untrue when he finally got on one of the most successful ones of all time, ‘Friends.
He wasn't happy. It didn't bring him joy or happiness or peace. And watching that go on on the lot we were at Warner Brothers, we were there right next to each other it was hard to watch because we didn't know what was going through him. We just knew that he wasn't happy,” Clooney shared.
