Gwyneth Paltrow hasn’t had top billing in a film in almost 20 years, but I think we can all agree that she’s managed to stay quite relevant. With the introduction of concepts like “conscious uncoupling,” popularizing things like vagina-scented candles & yoni eggs, and her polarizing lifestyle brand, goop, Paltrow continues to hold a special place in the culture. She recently revealed why she decided to step away from acting two decades ago and focus on all of the above.
I really stepped away from acting when Apple was born," Paltrow said. "The last time I was in every scene of a movie was when I was pregnant with her." Her daughter, Apple, is currently 19, and Paltrow shares her and son Moses, 17, with ex Chris Martin. "When I had her, it just, everything felt redefined for me, and I thought, 'I'm not sure that I want to do this so much as a career,’” Paltrow revealed.
In a new interview, Travis Kelce set the record straight on how he and Taylor Swift became the most talked-about couple of the years and it seems like Taylor’s not the only “Mastermind” in this relationship.
While Kelce gave fans a little insight into the “Labyrinth” of ways he managed to make it onto Swift’s radar (including family and friends playing Cupid), he also praised the singer extensively. “Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been fucking mind-blowing,” he shared. “I’m learning every day.”
Kelce is well aware that his relationship is under a ton of scrutiny (and handling it beautifully…okay, no more Taylor references), from the press to the fans to the haters, but he’s choosing to take it in stride. On Swift’s level of stardom, he said: “The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life. When she acts like that I better not be the one acting all strange.
